Sadly, many pets that go to shelters and rescues are scared in their new surroundings, and they are forced to sleep on cold cement floors since warm bedding isn't usually in the budget. Shelters can actually go through thousands of blankets and towels each month, and depend on donations to help provide the animals with warmth during the colder months.?
